If you had to pick three words to describe Wynnum West, it would be “relaxing as paradise”.

Hemmant is a charming little historic suburb just a few minutes’ drive east of the city.

The suburb has a rich industrial history that dates back to the early 20th century when it served as a hub for farming and sugar cane.

Today, it’s a peaceful and serene modern suburb with a friendly community spirit.

It’s close to the shops, schools, public transport, the beach and the Brisbane River. So it’s really one of the best suburbs in the entire city.

It’s also generally much cheaper than other suburbs. You can get a great house here for around $700,000 to $800,000 (when you’ll be paying around $1 million elsewhere).

While it’s far from the big city, it’s not too far. It’s easy to get to, but also close to the coast! A perfect drive to the beach for a swim and beautiful coastal walks.

Also plenty of schools nearby if you’ve got kids – primary schools, a high school and even a TAFE.
